Downtown Omaha is the core of Omaha and sits along the Missouri River. With its tall skyscrapers, central businesses, and government, downtown is a hotspot for many different businesses. Dozens of companies are using the downtown location as their regional or national headquarters.

With downtown being such a large area, it has many districts within it such as the Old Market Historic District that has been reconstructed into small shops, restaurants, bars and lofts, and Little Italy that is found on the south side of downtown and is historically home to Omaha’s Italian population.
