Elkhorn is a neighborhood of Omaha, Nebraska that’s named after the Elkhorn River and located on the western edge of Omaha. It was founded in 1865 by a man named George Crawford then annexed by the city of Omaha, Nebraska in 2005.

Elkhorn has been becoming a very popular area in Omaha and is rapidly growing. They now offer three high schools (grades 9-12), four middle schools (grades 6-8), and 12 different elementary schools (grades K-5).
